The living space is airy and bright, with floor-to-ceiling windows. White-washed hardwood floors and warm gray walls lend softness to what otherwise be an austere environment. Presently, the set-up includes a small seating area with a couch, a chair, a side table, and a TV, the latter of which is a bit oddly positioned beneath the staircase. There’s also an in-unit washer and dryer right across from the sofa.
Just beyond the kitchen is a small dining table with four chairs, but that space can just as easily fit a desk, or a chaise lounge, or even a recliner, if that’s your style. There’s also a towering bookcase at the rear of the space that reaches almost all the way up to the ceiling, and does a great job of highlighting the high ceilings.
The terrace is definitely on the small side, but you should be able to park yourself on a lounge chair out there and catch up on a good book.
The kitchen is a good size, and has full-sized appliances (including a dishwasher), light-colored Carrara marble countertops, and an artsy light fixture. The white paneling on the walls and backsplash area is a peculiar choice since it's probably not the easiest to clean. There’s also a marked lack of cabinet space in here, so the new owner may struggle if she's the cooking type.
Finally, there’s a tall set of shelves in the kitchen that could hold spices or commemorative plates, but at the moment is laden with... snow globes?
Head up a sturdy-looking white staircase to a queen-sized sleeping loft with a built-in home office. There’s no window—which is why this isn’t considered a real bedroom—but it’s completely separate from the living area downstairs.
There aren’t any photos of the bathroom—which is often a sign that there’s something horribly wrong with it—but there’s no way to be sure without going to take a look at the place in person.
The apartment is in a pet-friendly, four-story condo building that was built in 2003. Common charges are $218 a month, and taxes are just $14 a month thanks to a 421-a tax abatement in place until 2031.
